In 1994 - Huong Thuy LLC was established with an initial investment of 600,000,000 VND and 10 staffs including the founders Mr. Dao Ly and Mrs. Hoang Thu Huong. In 1999 the company increased its initial investment to 18,000,000,000 VND.
In 1998 – Mr.Dao Ly and Mrs. Hoang Thu Huong founded Huong Binh Company in Da Nang with an initial investment of 200,000,000 VND with the task of distributing Huong Thuy LLC’s products to the middle area of Vietnam. In 2003 the company increased its initial investment to 1,800,000,000 VND.
In 2002 – Huong Thuy opened a branch in Hanoi with the purpose of expanding their distribution system to the northern provinces.
In 2004 – With the running success of Huong Thuy LLC, the founders Mr. Dao Ly and Mrs. Hoang Thu Huong established a new logistic company named New Land. Its initial investment was 18,000,000,000 VND and the company is located at Song Than Industry Park, Binh Duong province. The new company and facility was fitted with only the best and finest equipments, capable of storing up to 4000 pallets of products. In January of 2007, due to the ever growing business, New Land increased its investment to 27,000,000,000 VND.
In 2007 – Thirteen years since the establishment of Huong Thuy LLC, the company has now become one of the biggest and most reputable Vietnamese companies in importation and distribution of consumer goods in Vietnam.
As Vietnam is in the process of joining the WTO, for the new stage of devolopment , Huong Thuy LLC. changed its name to Huong Thuy Corporation in June of 2007,with a professional staff of up to 400 people. Huong Thuy Corporation now has efficient systems of offices, warehouses, and distribution centers in the three largest cities in Vietnam, including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, and Da Nang.
December 2007 The Tokyo based Sojitz has purchased 25 percent of the shares issued by Huong Thuy Corporation. The new agreement will help turn Huong Thuy into one of the biggest importers and distributors in the country.
In 2008 - Can Tho & Dong Nai Branches established
In 2012 - Sojitz Group increased share to 51% and Kokubu Group Corp. joined Huong Thuy Corp. with 19% of share.
